Although I contributed to the DLC tracks for the original MotorStorm, Pacific Rift was the first game I worked on from pre-production to post-launch content.
My role was to model and texture objects to populate the tracks with. This included race infastructure such as bridges, ramps, signs and gantries as well as derelict buildings, abandoned vehicles, trees and plants.
After the game shipped I was put on a smaller team to work on DLC tracks. I was the only object artist on the project and as such had more opportunities to work directly with concept artists and influence the look of the tracks, in particular by adding eleborate themed gantries and Burning Man festival-style decorative statues made of junk.
